I taught Ada's kids (two girls) and they were amazing and very receptive.
Due to her busy schedule, I didn't get to see Ada everyday I had classes with her kids; despite this, I liked that she usually kept in touch on phone requesting feedback as to how the girls were responding to the lessons.
One of the days I was privy to meet her, she gave me her full consent not to spare the rod should any of the girls misbehave. I liked that very much. Although I didn't have to use it. Just the threat of using it on them was enough caution. : )
I know there are parents who just get tutors for their kids to keep them busy and probably never request any feedback, but Ada didn't portray such character - She was very interested in her kids progressing academically.
There was a time she called to ask if we could get a math textbook to help with the lessons as the kids were not allowed to go home with their notebooks or textbooks unless an assignment was given.
At another time, she promised to get to the headmaster of her kids' school concerning a request I made for the Maths scheme of work to made available. Her involvement generally is what I liked about my time with her.
I would recommend Ada anytime to other tutors, but that's only when her request is outside my subjects or when I'm not available ;-) - Haba! You don't get to meet great parents like Ada everytime.
