Remember, we learn by doing, but we learn best of all by doing correctly. I apply the principle of " I do, you do, we do" for effective and easy compression.
I have been doing this for more than a decade now and the result is alarming.
As a professional teacher it is important to structure the learning process even though the exercises are self explanatory. Also, try allowing the pupils to reason on some concepts before presentation.
