I've been playing chess for over 9 years now, and the way I improved on my skills was by practice, practice and practice. There are also books that I've looked at that explain the concepts of openings, middle games and endgames.

The people I've taught Chess in the past were not always really happy at the end because I usually gave them the beatings of their lives on the board. But believe me! That's the only way you can learn chess and be above your peers. You ought to have reasons for every move you make on the chess board. With time, This will help develop your ability to think say 5 moves ahead.

Dear client, for this tutorial, you will need a standard chess board with proper letters A - H and numbers 1 - 8 labels on the sides.
You will also need a notebook with a pencil/pen as you will learn how to document every move you make on the board for future references.
