The subjects I think I enjoyed the most in my primary school days were in fact Quantitative Reasoning and Verbal Reasoning. This, I believe, was largely due to the fact that it was fun trying to discover the patterns that existed among the numbers and words, and so rather than seeing it as a task, it was just fun all the way, even though of course some verbal reasoning problems back then proved themselves tough nuts to crack.

I relate well to an appreciable level with the English Language and I'm a thinker (courtesy of my Maths degree) - this I believe is sufficient to teach Verbal Reasoning.

The scenarios where I've had to tutor children on Verbal reasoning has always been informal. Notwithstanding, I've always gotten positive feedback from my students after we reason out the pattern existing in the given Verbal Aptitude and easily arrive at an answer.

When I teach more than one student at a time, it's efficient for me to make use of a whiteboard with markers but if it be just one student, a notebook with a pen can serve.
