I teach home economics simply because a young boy got me interested in it. He was then a jss 1 student and he had to sew a jacket with just needle and thread. After he completed the work, the school made it part of the school uniform. It looked so good such that it was difficult to say it was hand sewn. I have worked with students and pupils and have always enjoyed the outcome of our efforts.
