I am Austin Njimogu, a graduate of the University of Abuja with B.Ed in Agricultural Education
I have been teaching Science related courses for the past 8 to 9 years now.

I see teaching as fun and I enjoy doing it at any given opportunity. I discovered reasons students fail science related courses and I have worked on those areas to improve my students and also encourage them to work hard in order to excel in examinations.

Science study involves the development of important skills. The following set of skills applies to learn any branch of science, such as Basic Science, Basic Technology, Intro-Tech, Agric Science etc at any grade level. By focusing on developing the following skills, I will help my student not merely memorize the scientific method but see it at work and practice it daily.

Science depends on discerning details, looking at more than just the “big picture.” I encourage my students to describe what they see in detail; this will help them identify properties and make more knowledgeable hypotheses. When studying botany, for example, have them do more than just note the color and shape of the flower. Have them count the petals, draw pictures of the leaves, and look at the pollen under a magnifying glass.

As a science teacher, I have discovered that one of the most valuable skills needed for science study is the ability to measure accurately. I start by teaching young children how to use a ruler and a measuring cup. As they grow older, they will acquire more complex measuring skills using mathematical equations and advanced equipment.

I help students to learn discovery skill in science. I make sure students communicate clearly to their audience (teachers/parents, family, friends/classmates, etc.) by using terms that are defined well and displaying only accurate results as much as possible.
I have recorded great success as a science teacher in Primary and Junior secondary school.
In 2013, I won Merit award as outstanding teacher of the year and the following year 2014 I also won another award "Staff of the Year Award".

These awards are as a result of hard work and efficacy in my students. I know and I believe if given the opportunity to teach your child/ward there will be positive results in a short period.
I believe I have a Midas touch in changing your child for better.

My experience with British curriculum is that it is student centered. It makes use of activities. The curriculum extends and excites all students, whatever their interests or ability. Through it, teachers are able to identify, celebrate and nurture the talents and intelligences of students.
