Basic Mathematics

More than 10 years exprience

I am a skilled and patient Basic Mathematics tutor with a strong foundation in Mathematics and experience tutoring learners across different academic levels. I have a proven ability to simplify mathematical concepts and arithmetic into clear, practical, and easy-to-understand steps, helping students develop a genuine understanding of what they learn. My lessons cover essential areas such as number sense, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percentages, measurement, geometry, word problems, and basic mathematical reasoning.

My teaching approach is structured, engaging, practical, and learner-centred, with lessons carefully adapted to each student’s ability, learning pace, and individual needs. I use relatable examples, step-by-step explanations, guided practice, and targeted exercises to make Mathematics less intimidating and easier to retain. I encourage active participation and create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning from them. This approach helps learners strengthen their problem-solving skills while developing greater confidence in Mathematics.

My commitment is to make every lesson clear, purposeful, and effective, while helping students achieve measurable academic progress. Through regular practice, revision, assessments, and constructive feedback, I identify learning gaps and provide targeted support to address them. I also prepare learners effectively for examinations by developing their accuracy, speed, question interpretation, and problem-solving techniques. Whether a student needs to strengthen their mathematical foundation, improve classroom performance, or prepare for an examination, I provide patient and personalised instruction designed to help them become more confident and capable Mathematics learners.
