Quantitative Reasoning has been one of my old time favorites simply because i regarded it as one of my "game puzzles". This is something i most definitely would bring a child to realize, as long as you are good with your basic additions, subtractions, multiplications and divisions, then the quantitative reasoning would be fun. All i need to do is help the child work on certain techniques of improving his/her speed and accuracy in figuring out the solution.
But if for any reason a child is poor in basic arithmetic, then we have to start from the foundation of learning them one after the other because that's the key to success in quantitative reasoning.

i understand that the British curriculum is designed take the approach that each child is unique, with special talents and abilities and an individual learning style. 3-5 years is the Early Years Foundation Stage, while 5-11 years Key Stage 1 and 2.
