When teaching a child about body parts, its best to start with the very obvious and common ones the use very often. example; Head, Hands,Legs, Eyes, Ears, Nose,Mouth, etc. Helping them understand what they use these parts for, like " i see with my EYES" helps them remember easily.
i simply do this with a "copy cat" pattern helping the child identify such parts on his/her own body.
For identification of Shapes like Circle , Square and Triangle, i like to use actual objects colored differently, preferably with bright colors, to help them remember... or actual things or fruits like a box of sugar which is Square! and an orange, which is circle!
