As one who has gone through the struggles of learning Spanish as a non-native speaker, I am well conversant with all the obstacles and difficulties a Spanish learner would encounter. Mastering the pronunciation of the Spanish alveolar 'R', understanding the multi-purpose reflexive pronoun 'se', the gender conundrum, when to use 'estar' and 'ser', the Almighty Subjunctive, learning how to use the accent marks, including the differences in the spanish spoken in different countries and regions. I have first hand experience with the DELE (Diploma de español como Lengua Extranjero) exams up to the C2 level format, so i can also help with preparation for the exam

I have trained a handful of people ranging from kids to adults. I even tutored soldiers in the Nigerian Navy. Each student is unique and requires a different approach. In previous encounters, i recorded some of my sessions to critically identify the problem each student faced and worked out a scheme for each one separately. Some had problems with pronunciation, some with grammar while some simply just lacked confidence to speak. I tailored my teaching method to suit each student and thus, i have had successes with a lot of my students in the past. Obviously, i have had some failures but i learnt from each one.

My teaching style is personalised and methodical. Before lessons, i usually make my students read ahead to get a grasp of what the topic that we will discuss. It's very interactive and I have a lot of shortcuts and tips for even the hardest bit of Spanish. If you are learning Spanish, you should obviously have your Spanish-english dictionary along with maybe a book with all the basics.
