I have spent the last 5years preparing students for Common Entrance Exams and West African Senior School Certificate Exams(WASSCE) and I must say that the results have been impressive. I pay attention to the peculiar needs of each student as regards the subject while laying major emphasis on creative writing, letter writing, comprehension, summary, lexis and structure and phonetics.

I teach students the intrigues of creative writing, organisation of sentences, variety, clarity and style in sentences, how to punctuate properly and how to score high by engaging their creative minds. The student gets to understand the different types of essays, letter writing, speech writing, and report writing. In reading comprehension and summary, the student learns how to read for proper understanding, and also learns the correct ways to answer questions.

Phonetics is an area that most students have found almost impossible, and yet a very important aspect as it has to do with spoken English. I take students through learning the correct pronunciation of words to enable them to get the right phonetic sounds. I engage students to appreciate both spoken and written English. I take my time to mark and correct every given assignment. Intending students should be ready for an aggressive but subtle English lesson from scratch. I engage students to improve their vocabulary by encouraging them to take note of each new word they come across, thereby making their journey with the subject an easy ride, especially in the areas of lexis and structure, synonyms and antonyms etc. The English language is dynamic and changes with time, my aim generally is to get students to appreciate the use of the English language which makes understanding easier.
