As a speaker of English language as a learnt language,I got to know and appreciate the difficulties of learning a second language and as well as what it takes to excel when learning. Having taught firstly in a slightly rural area where the mother-tongue was predominantly used and affected the students ability to speak and understand English language,I had to adapt and use their language words to express similarity with English language. I had to teach by firstly learning bits of their indigenous language to make illustrations and examples. My teaching style relies on being able to identify the environment of the learner,age and the intelligence of the learner.
