Numeracy is all about learning and dealing with numbers, such as sequencing which is also known as skip counting, addition and subtraction of numbers as well as word problems. While Literacy deals with sounds, stringing of letter-sound together to know how to spell, the formation of three-letter words, consonant clusters, and a little bit of grammar.
I have been able to achieve my set goals as I teach my students on each of these subjects by doing enough research to understand my students and also involve them in interactive sessions.
I use a qualitative method of teaching, such as having an interactive class. I make use of hands-on, audiovisual, and visual methods of teaching. In a Literacy class basically, we make use of sounds while reading and getting spellings right.
