I have taught students verbal reasoning for years. and i have been able to develop in my students, the ability to be logical thinkers, as this is a subject that requires a student to make use of his/her thinking faculty.
I used to have a student who does not like any subject order than calculation; his problem was taking his time to read or even reason. i made use of several teaching strategies and learning methods, to make him realise that all the subject requires is concentration. He is now in Jss 2 and he is doing well now. This is just to mention a few, because there are several others i have tutored as well, and have improved in their reasoning.
As a 21st century teacher that believes in hands-on approach, i will be making use of several work sheets and would be involving students in critical thinking activities.
