I have worked in the preschool section of a school, as a KG 2 and Nursery 1 form tutor respectively. The first thing a child should know in school is to identify letters and numbers without mixing them up. I have undergone trainings that helps a child identify letters through sounds and actions, and also differentiate similar numbers such as 6 and 9, and avoid mixing up letters and numbers such as 3 and E.
There are cases of students who are dyslexic and may need extra attention to come off mixing letters up, especially when spelling. I have been able to help students overcome this problem as a result of the readings i have done on Dyslexia.
For the success of the lesson, the students would need different materials that will aid their identification of numbers and letters.
