I specialise in teaching Abacus, Mental Maths, and Basic Mathematics, helping learners develop exceptional numerical skills, faster calculation abilities, and a solid understanding of mathematical concepts. Through structured Abacus instruction and mental calculation techniques, I help students improve concentration, memory, visualisation, number sense, and computational accuracy. My Basic Mathematics lessons also cover number recognition, place value, arithmetic operations, fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios, measurements, geometry, and mathematical word problems, ensuring learners build the foundational skills needed for long-term academic success.

My teaching approach is progressive, practical, and tailored to each learner’s age, ability, and pace. In Abacus lessons, I guide students through bead manipulation, number representation, and step-by-step calculations before progressing towards mental visualisation and faster arithmetic. For Mental Maths, I introduce effective calculation strategies that help learners solve problems quickly and accurately without relying entirely on written methods or calculators. Through demonstrations, interactive exercises, timed practice, and consistent reinforcement, I make learning engaging while helping students develop discipline, confidence, and independent problem-solving skills.

In addition to my expertise in Abacus, Mental Maths, and Basic Mathematics, I also teach English Language, covering grammar, vocabulary, reading, comprehension, spelling, sentence construction, and writing. I monitor each learner’s progress through regular assessments, targeted practice, and constructive feedback, adjusting lessons to address individual strengths and learning gaps. My goal is to help students become faster and more confident with numbers, strengthen their overall academic performance, and develop the language skills needed to communicate effectively.

I have taught British and American curricula both in schools and in tutorials for about four years. The British Mathematics is hard core i.e, students learnt concepts the raw way but later see how to apply it to real life situation. But in American curriculum, concepts are demystified.
