I relate Basic Tech concepts to things my students can see around them because students relate better with things they see and know than abstract things in books.
I spend enough time in explaining the basics of every topics before going deeper. I also make them see the application of technology in day to day life to show how interesting the subject is contrary to popular opinion of it being boring
