Make no mistakes, an excellent teacher will produce excellent students, and that has been my experience during the cause of my teaching career. When I teach, I try to understand each child and explain the concepts in the way that they can understand. I also like to be very thorough, friendly and disciplined.
Some time ago, when I tutored a pupil in mathematics, before I went for my national service. The child performed excellently well in school that the parents kept on calling during my service year and couldn't wait for me to come back and continue the tutoring.
I love teaching because I love imparting knowledge. I hate seeing students make the same mistakes I made as a student when it could have been avoided with proper direction. I currently teach at Life Foundation School here in Owerri, and have taught pupils in Nursery 3 through to Primary 6, as well as JSS students.
