Proof-reading and editing articles and essays is a very essential aspect of our written English language. I have observed that students subconsciously translate their informal use of English e.g slangs and Pidgin, into essays and letter-writing. This sparked my interest in seeking a better way to coach students in this area. Working with poets, journalists and similar writers have also sharpened my skills.
