Charity they say begins at home. I am a linguist and for this to be possible and realisable, my foundation should be solid. I am not only an Igbo origin, however I am a proud speaker, writer, reader and promoter of the language.

Igbo is my Mother Tongue. I come from Owerri in Imo State, where the natives speak a dialect, in spite of that I speak and write the central Igbo, which every Igbo speaker in Nigeria and in diaspora understands.
I was brought up by my parents in the eastern part of Nigeria with the Igbo Language and interestingly I did not only learn the language ,but the wealthy culture of the Igbos. The usages of proverbs, riddles and tongue twisting to mention but a few in the Igbo language is mandatory, whenever I speak the language. My Father taught me the usage of proverbs and according to the literary legend, Chinua Achebe, "Proverb is an Oil the Igbos use in chewing words".

In 2008, I won an award from the famous AHIAJOKU LECTURE, an annual lecture in the South East that promotes and showcases the cultural dynamism of the Igbos. The award was based on the essay I presented during the lecture.
I am an advocate of parents teaching their children the Igbo Language, especially the parents in diaspora, so that their children will ever be relevant wherever they find themselves.

During my NYSC programme, I voluntarily taught Igbo Language and really had fun with the students. Luckily for me they performed well in their BECE and NECO Exams(junior level)

When you book lessons, Vivian will usually travel anywhere at most 5km (~ 30mins drive ) from Grammar School to deliver lessons.
