One area of shared weakness I have noticed among learners of lower and higher classes in my teaching experience is that of elocution.

A lot of students struggle with proper pronunciation and construction of grammatically-correct sentences. For those in higher classes, this struggle extends to summary and essay writing. All these can be attributed to a lack of good foundational training and hence the need for parents and guardians to focus on the early formative learning years of their children/wards.

It is my job to liaise with parents and guardians to ensure that the foundation their children/wards need to excel in the English language is made available, as well as to correct existing problems such ones might be facing.

As an advocate of excellence, I make it a habit to instill the desire for excellence in my students, such that they not only make fantastic grades at any level but do so with the dignity of character.

I hold quizzes and give regular exercises to ascertain the progress of my students while working with their academic curricula and instructional materials.

The British and American curricula are both student-based and involve practical learning. Also, emphasis is placed on training students to ace their IGCSE , O-Level, A-Level exams (for UK universities), AP, SAT and ACT exams (for American colleges).

When you book lessons, Yvonne will usually travel anywhere at most 5km (~ 30mins drive ) from Surulere to deliver lessons.
