Finite Mathematics is a catch-all title for a collection of topics that are anything but calculus. The purpose of the course is to give a survey of mathematical analysis techniques used in the working world, but you might also say that this course gives valuable experience at organizing information and then analyzing it. In a larger sense, it's also another way we use math to give people experience in analytical thinking. Business, accounting, and computer majors tend to take this course or are required to by their program

MY METHOD OF TEACHING AND INSTRUCTIONAL AIDS

My method of teaching this course shall involve making the student do some smart work of thinking, reasoning, and building up the structure of knowledge. This will consist of several questions urging students to build up reasoning and concepts, after a series of explanations and solved examples. In case any of the students lack the basics of lower classes, then the effort will be made to build a good foundation, running through the fundamentals with the use of many resources which may include digital teaching. With this, we may require the use of a projector and laptop. Connections will also be created between lessons for a proper workflow.

These, shall help, reinforce and supplement the communication during the presentation of the lesson. In summary, the teaching method shall comprise of visual (charts/graphs, displays, models, pictures), audio-visual (sound motion pictures, slides on sound, etc.), and connectivity of new lessons with the old (whereby new and related topics would be treated by making reference to the previous topics that serves as a prerequisite to the new one). Such methods and interaction will make the student(s) feel friendly and confident with the subject and related fields. Also needed would be scientific calculator and graph sheets for plotting and observing empirical relationships.
